Advocating for fashion sustainability
through styling and journalism

About Me

Bunmi Abidogun, is a London based fashion stylist on an eco – anxiety free journey, who advocates for sustainability and circularity. She’s known for repeating outfits and does not believe in saving clothes for special occasions. Advocating for ‘re-wear’ created opportunities to work on projects with Unilever Rotterdam to launch new products, which discourages clothes going to landfills.

She holds a MA in TV & Radio journalism from Goldsmith University and has produced a few documentaries, including a piece on Fast Fashion through the eyes of a London teenager in response the Rana plaza disaster in Bangladesh. As former Feature and Fashion editor for ASBO magazine, her writing focused on Sustainable & circular fashion, whilst her styling showcased and celebrated collections from Graduate Fashion week, experimenting with alternative materials.

Her interest in materials stems from 15 years of working in the Architectural sector and she would like to see the application of cork used more widely in clothing and footwear.

Bunmi strongly advocates for a repair model and believes restoration skills should be included in the national school curriculum and all through to university, not as a craft, but as a career option that is commercially viable.
